Eclipse Reorganization Utilities:NEON for IMS Databases
Eclipse Reorganization Utilities™
Eclipse Reorganization Utilities provide the power
and functionality you need for fast IMS reorganizations. It is no longer
necessary to maintain and manage separate sets of IMS utilities for
the different types of databases. The solution consists of an
integrated set of products that support both IMS full function and Fast Path DEDB databases:
iBuild,
iCheck,
iCopy,
iLoad,
iSurvey,
and iUnload.
The Eclipse Reorganization Utilities utilize IBM System z9 Integrated Information Processors (zIIPs). By moving eligible work to zIIPs, the utilities free up central processors and reduce the overall cost of computing. The table shows the percentages of the processing for specific utilities that can be eligible for processing using zIIPs.

In addition to saving on hardware and software costs, the Eclipse Reorganization utilities save other valuable resources as well by reducing the CPU time and the elapsed time required for reorganizations.
